Setting up a website with Bluehost is super easy regardless of whether you have ever set one up before. No technical knowledge is required. With only five easy steps, you will be able to set up your own website. Here we go.

Get your website started, hosting, and domains.

Your website must be hosted somewhere in order for people to access it. They will access your website through a domain name. A domain is your website’s address that people will type into their browsers so that they find your website.

Among website hosting service providers, we rely on Bluehost because it is the most reliable and easiest option.

Bluehost offers free web hosting with a free domain name.

Having said that, once you get to Bluehost, click on Get Started and choose the basic hosting plan. The basic plan is ideal for a new website.

Then we shall set up your domain. You can create a new domain or use one that you already have.

It is okay to skip this step if you do not have a name. But you can do it later by entering your website name and clicking on it.

Next, you will need to fill out your contact details and agree to the payment terms as well as submit your request once you see your purchase has been successful.

You can go ahead and create an account and log in to the account you just created. Answer these short questions about your website and give some details about yourself. And then skip the final step of the onboarding process.

2. Log into WordPress.

It’s very easy to set up your website with Bluehost since WordPress is pre-installed. Clicking WordPress from your Bluehost account will take you directly to your WordPress dashboard, where you can now edit your website.

Your website is already set up, so you can see what it looks like.

If you click to visit the site, you will see your custom domain name and the default WordPress theme.

3. The theme needs to be updated.

Your website will look much better with a new WordPress theme. And the theme I recommend to use is Astra. This is because it has dozens of free designs to choose from.

In your WordPress dashboard, click on appearance themes to install a new theme.

Add the Astra theme to your site and activate it to unlock the free designs. Install plugins, search for the Astra plugin, and install and activate it to see the free designs.

You can also use Elementor to edit these designs and click on free at the top to see all of the free designs.

Scroll through the free designs here and select the design that best matches the website you want to make. Or pick the design you like.

It is easy to edit whichever design you choose. 

Once the import is complete, you can preview any template to see how it will look. To apply a template to a site, click Import site.

It’s easy to see the difference between the new design and the default, and you get multiple pages ready-made, which really cuts down on the time it takes to produce the website.

4. Edit your website after you have created it.

You can make your website look exactly how you want just by opening the page. If you want to edit and start making changes instantly, go to the homepage and click Edit with Elementor change text.

Choose the text to edit and start typing. You can also add text to a button and change its appearance in the same way.

You can change the color in the sidebar by clicking on the color menu.

Even the text color can be changed, it’s that easy. Just right-click on the backgrounds and select the Edit section.

An image, a grading, a color, a slideshow, or a video can be used as your background.

To add the image to your website, click on the existing image and then upload your own image.

Save changes by clicking update. To exit the editor, click the view page.

You can edit any page on your website in the same manner.

You can edit the header on your website very easily by clicking customize and clicking any of the blue icons to start editing, for example, to change the logo.

You can replace the logo with your own by clicking the blue icon next to it or display the site title: publish to save the changes and exit the editor.

It’s also straightforward to get the footer to look the way you want it to, which appears across the bottom of every page on your website.

In order to edit the footer simply click Edit with Elementor site footer and select anything To edit text, select the text and start typing then click update to save the changes, and exit the editor by clicking View Page.

Editing your footer on your website has never been easier.

Adding new pages to your website is very easy.

Adding a page title and clicking Edit with Elementor is all you need to do.

Use the editor on the left to drag and drop templates on the page, for example, to add a title, drag the heading template and drop it on the page, and edit the text by clicking on it.

Go back to the templates, drag and drop another template on the page, then click Publish to save the changes to exit the editor.

You now have a whole new page to add to your website.

You can add a new page at the top of your website’s main menu to make it easy for people to find it. Here’s how. Click Customize next to the top menu, and then click Edit menu.

To add a page, just click on the page you want to add from the list on the right, and it will be added to the menu.

Menu items can be reordered.

It’s really easy to edit the menu of your website, just take the publish button to save your changes and exit the editor after you finish, that’s how easy it is to update your website’s menu.

Once you have learned how to edit every part of your website it is time to move on to the final and most exciting step of launching your website.

Currently, your website is displaying a coming soon page to visitors, to expose your website as soon as possible to the world. This is the most exciting step because a website is a unique and powerful way to connect with the world.

Launch your site by clicking the coming soon button at the top of the page.
